Ecotourism
in Nicaragua

Nicaragua
is a nature lover's paradise. During your visit you can explore
cloud forest of Mombacho volcano & Madera on Ometepe Island
(formed by two volcanoes, it is the world's largest island in a
fresh water lake) to discover orchids, watch howler, white face
& spider monkeys or hike to the crater lakes & waterfall.
You can witness rare sea turtle lay their eggs on the pacific beaches
of La Flor & Chacocente, enjoy sightseeing the fauna,
exotic vegetation & birds of Las Isletas on Granada's archipelago.
In Pacific Nicaragua there is a chain of over 25 volcanoes which
are part of the pacific rim of fire which runs along the coast of
America and Asia on the rim of that ocean. The Masaya Volcano
is one of the four in the world to shelter a lake of bubbling lava
inside its crater. This is the only one in Nicaragua accessible
by road. Here you also can observe a column of smoke and gases issuing
from an active crater. In Apoyo crater lake you can enjoy
watching howler monkeys, deer and other wild life, as well as having
a great swim in its salty and blue waters. Chocoyero Natural
Reserve, is a haven for bird watchers. Rio San Juan, our natural
canal that connects Nicaragua Lake with the Caribbean together
with Indio-Maiz biological reserve, Solentiname archipelago &
Los Guatuzos wildlife reserve is a true paradise for ecotourism.
Our nature is practically virgin & ready to be discovered.
